Programs
For Girls Summer Experience:
STAR Girls Summer Experience Group that provides (i) group life skills, (ii) group peer socialization and (iii) group recreational activities with the goal of developing group life skills. This is for six hours per day, five days per week.
For Summer Basketball Recreational Group:
“STAR Boys Summer Recreational Basketball Group” – a special therapeutic program provided by STAR that provides (i) group life skills, (ii) peer socialization, (iii) recreational activities, (iv) health/wellness, (v) team-building and (vi) leadership development skills, with the goal of developing group life skills, team building, and leadership.
For Boys-to-Men Support Groups:
“STAR Boys-to-Men Group” – a special therapeutic program provided by STAR, that provides (i) group life skills, (ii) gender-specific maturation guidance, (iii) self-esteem, respect and confidence building and (iv) a sense of social and sexual … responsibility, with the goal of developing mature, respectful and responsible young men with socialization and group life skills.
For Girls Expression Support Groups:
“Girls Expression Group” – a special therapeutic program provided by STAR that provides (i) group life skills, (ii) gender-specific maturation guidance, (iii) self-esteem, respect and confidence building and (iv) a sense of social and sexual … responsibility, with the goal of developing mature, respectful and responsible young women with socialization and group life skills.
For Drama Program:
“STAR Drama Program” – a special therapeutic program provided by STAR that provides (i) group life skills, (ii) peer socialization, (iii) team-building, (iv) self-esteem, (v) interpersonal communication, (vii) critical thinking, (viii) listening skills, (ix) cultural awareness and (x) leadership development skills, with the goal of developing theater skills, improvisation, diction and projection.
For Field Trip:
“STAR Field Trips Group” – a special therapeutic program provided by STAR that provides (i) group life skills, (ii) peer socialization, (iii) team-building and (iv) leadership development skills, with the goal of developing group life skills, team building, and leadership and engaging to accept group Field Trip services and supports from STAR Services.
